This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have established specialised skills in a technical ICT function. Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in specialist fields, working independently, as part of a team or leading deliverables with others. They may apply their skills across a wide range of industries, business functions and departments, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor). The skills required for the role may include, but is not restricted to back end web development: developing and maintaining website information architecture and data.

At the end of the course the student will have fulfilled the necessary competencies required to gain the ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Back End Web Development).
  • After achieving the ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Back End Web Development), candidates may undertake the ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, or a range of other ICT Advanced Diploma or Vocational Graduate Certificate qualifications or other higher education sector qualifications

All Students MUST
  • Be 18 years of age or over
  • Have completed NSW Higher School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent
International Students MUST
  • Have an English ability at the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) level 5.5 or equivalent.
